NAE Grade 12 Result 2021:
The National Education Assessment and Examination Agency i.e. NEAEA will announce the 2020 grade 12 national exam result for higher learning institutions placement of students.
Students can check their placements online at the agency’s website: www.nae.gov.et or by sending free of charge text message “rtw”, then space and their code numbers to 8181. Some 124,227 students (86,958 natural and 37,268 social) have got a pass mark to join higher learning institutions this academic year.

- Out of 199,999 students who took the national exam, more than 60 thousand have scored 350 and above. The figure shows an increase in the number of students performing well compared with last years’ statistics.
- A natural science student from Wolayita’s Liqa High school has scored the highest grade with 639 points.
- In 2020 (2011 EC) a total of 322,717 students were registered for the 12th-grade national examination. However, 319,264 number of students have appeared in the examination. Tomorrow on 13 August 2020 we will have the exact figure for pass rate percentage and failed percentage.

The Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination (EHEEE) is taken at the end of grade 12. Students passing the EHEEE are eligible for the university if their grades are sufficiently high.
Ethiopian Grade 12 Result Statistics:
- A very small proportion of children attend the second cycle of secondary school. Between 2008/09 and 2012/13, GER increased from 6.0% to 9.5% with girls increasing from 3.5% to 8.5%. From all children registered for the grade 12 exam in 2012/13, 91.7% attained the pass mark of 201 or more but only 1.7% attained 501 or more.
Other Courses after Grade 12:
- The government requires universities to have 70% of students in engineering and natural science and 30% in humanities and social sciences. Students can state a preference but only those with high marks in the grade 12 exam are likely to be selected for their chosen course.
